Hi, I’m Geri!
I started riding when I was 6 years old until my teenage years, then on and off over the decades. I’m back in the saddle again, riding dressage, riding for fun.
As a kid, I went to horse summer camps, participated in dressage and jumping (small jumps!) competitions, did loads of trail rides, swam into a lake on the back of a horse … such special memories.
I absolutely ADORE horses!!
I am honoured to be one of the official photographers for the Ottawa Dressage Festival, and I volunteer at the Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton (TROtt), helping to exercise their beautiful horses and taking the photos for their 2024 calendar. Combining my love of photography and my love of horses while being able to give back is absolutely the best!
Whenever I can, no matter where I am in the world, I try to go for a trail ride. I’ve done trail rides in the Yukon … on the beach in Oregon … through the lush forests in the Dominican Republic … up the mountains in Jasper and in the Great Bear Rainforest in BC.

I love to travel. I’ve been to Namibia, Tanzania (Southern Serengeti), the Yukon, Banff, Cape Breton, Paris, Mexico, Tuscany, Hong Kong and more …
Next up: Romania and back to Tanzania (Northern Serengeti, gotta close the loop of the wildebeest following the rains).
Thanks to my travel adventures, I have had the honour of having one of my photos from the Yukon on the cover of the Canadian Association for Photograph Art (CAPA) Fall 2021 magazine.
I also had one of my photos (Elephant in Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania) selected by CAPA to represent Canada in the wildlife category of the Four Nations competition, between Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Photography has sent me to some amazing places around the world, having adventures I never dreamt possible.
Get in touch.
I am passionate about photography. And passionate about horses. I would love the opportunity to capture their personality and your connection with them.
